First appearance: Mario Forever v4.4

Starman Running is an extra level found in Mario Forever and its fan-made remake, Mario Forever Remake. The level resembles a Skyland level which requires the player to use a Super Star power-up to run and kill all enemies. It introduces the Starman Meter, which will drain every 10 seconds and forces the player to find another Super Star. The level's timer can be increased by killing enemies with Starman field, giving 2000 units each. It also drains much quicker than the usual timer: by 111 units every frame.

Finding criteria

The player wonders why are there big rocky stars here and why it's called Starman Running. They might have to find out.

In the Save Game Room, the player has to go all the way to the Funny Tanks? tank and Koopa Troopa Liberation's pipe, walk normally and then they will see three big rocky Stars. The main pipe leads to the level.

Trivia

  • This is the last extra level that uses Buziol Games' graphics before Softendo came up with the special visual effects, which were first used in v5.0 and up. A good example is World of Stupidity.
  • This level can be a good way to farm extra lives, which is helpful for challenging worlds.
    • This trick can only be done in Mario Forever Remake.
