World 1-2 is the second level of World 1 in Mario Forever and its fan-made remakes, Mario Forever Remake and Mario Forever: Community Edition. The level resembles an underground level with some secret passages in it. The Starman powerup and the platforms makes their first appearence in this level.

Layout

After the cutscene of Mario going through a pipe, the level starts with a small open path blocked by a wall to its left. There are four ? blocks surrounded by bricks, one of them having a powerup (either a Super Mushroom or a Fire Flower).
There are two Goombas on top of the first layer of blocks, and one more on the second layer. One more Goomba is on the ground. After that, there are various 1-block thick pillars made of blue blocks, between two of which is a brick containing 16 coins, and another Goomba on the floor.

After that, there is a chunk of floor surrounded by gaps, with four bricks above it, two more bricks above them, and four coins above them in a square arrangement. A Goomba is also on the floor here. Two tiles to the left of the second brick layer is an invisible Starman powerup block, that only appears once. This is the first instance of the Starman powerup in the game.

After the next hole is a two-part corridor consisting of blue blocks, where there are two Goombas, two Koopa Troopas and two square arrangements of 4 coins.

Then, there is a section of the ground with four pipes, with 2 Piranha Plants in the middle ones. Above the first pipe, to the right, is another invisible Starman powerup block, that only appears once. Above the third pipe is a line of three bricks, followed by three coins and then nine more bricks, with two Goombas on top of it. Below them are two square floor chunks. After that, there are 7 bricks in the air with two Goombas on them.

Above the following ground, there's 4 bricks, next to two pipes on some blocks, with a Piranha Plant in the left one, and a bonus warp in the second.

• This bonus room is a single screen underground area, with an entrance/exit pipe floating in the middle, some scatter blocks, and 14 invisible question blocks.

After this, on the ground is a set of three Goombas, and after a long open path, there are two Goombas standing on blocks in the air, near the end of the path.

The player will come accross a large hole where there are infinitely falling orange platforms. Surrounded by a larger hole with the same platforms, is a large piece of floor, where there is a red Koopa Troopa on the ground, with a set of 6 bricks above, with two question blocks. A Goomba is standing on those bricks.

Towards the end, there is more ground with a staircase arrangement of blocks. There is a question block way up in the air, with three invisible question blocks to its left. Finally, is the Goal Gate at the end of the level.

Secrets

Hardcore World 1 Passage

• 
  The Hardcore sign, indicating that its passage is near.

  The 2 blocks that will teleport Mario to the world.

Only in v3.5 and above, the player can see a sign saying 'Hardcore Zone Is Near', indicating that its passage is somewhere in the level. When they reach the two purple pipes on floating blocks, they have to jump into the first pipe from below pressing the Up key, and a message will appear that says 'You Have Found A Secret Passage To Hardcore World 1', indicating that they have unlocked the world.

World 4 Passage

Near the Hardcore sign, the player has to make sure to jump into the 6th and 7th blocks pressing the Up key, and then, they will get a message that will say 'You Found A Secret Way To Map 4', and they will be teleported to World 4.
