Hammer Bros (/'hæma bɹoʊz'/, known in Japan as Hanma Burosu (ハンマーブロス Hanmā Burosu) are Koopas who stands upright and throw hammers to the player. They made their first appearance in Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System/Family Computer, and has been considered to be one of the most familiar enemies in the Super Mario franchise, eventually making more appearances in more games, including spin-offs.
In Mario Forever, they make their first appearance in World 3-1, and become more of a common enemy, mainly in World 6 and World 8.
Appearance
The Hammer Bros look similar to green Koopa Troopas, the only difference however. is that they stand upright and has a grey helmet on his head (which gets changed to white and green in the newer Mario games). They also have a black hammer with a wooden handle.

Tips
Hammer Bros can be quite easy to defeat, but due to them being super RNG. The player might find them avoiding their attacks or throwing a hammer with a long range that could damage Mario. So it's best to use a power-up when encountering them, like Fire Flower and Beetroot. Stomping in their heads might work, but that determines on the player's luck. since Hammer Bros can throw a hammer the moment they will stomp.
