Level Strategy
Once more, the main strategy of level is principally a matter of skills and completing the level at full speed. Both the Spiky Ceiling and the timer are things the player has to pay attention. They also need to watch out for the ceiling even when it's back up, it still is deadly to the touch, so the player needs to be cautious with their jumps ( The big staircase right after the first powerup is the best example ). It's better to drop down in some situations.
The level has a generous amount of powerups, but all of them are false aid. They are all just making the player's progression risky, and even prevent them to make past a wall where only Small Mario can go through, a bit before the Check-point. Pretty much like Hardcore World 2-2, it's best to pretend that the "?" blocks don't exist, since even some of them can put the player at a high risk of being impaled before they could ever try to hide from the top hazard.
In case the player has a lower playing level, it's recommended to hide in every safe spot, especially at the end when the grounds are full of Spinies. After that, running and jumping as fast as possible is required, then, they need to be wary of the Koopa Troopas trying to block their way. Waiting for the ceiling to fully ascend before going to the flag pole is more wise, elseway the Red Koopa Troopas would bump into them.
Trivia
- This is obviously the only level in Mario Forever that is known to feature the Crushing Spiky Ceiling.
