Mario Forever WSW World (often referred to as simply WSW World) is a Mario Forever fan-game by WSW originating from the Mario Forever Tieba in China. The game is made with Multimedia Fusion and Syzxchulun's World 10 Engine. The game is planned to have 8 basic worlds and many extra worlds and levels. It contains many new concepts such as Purple Koopa Troopas. Currently it's still incomplete.

History

After Multimedia Fusion 2.0 Dev and Dunami's Mario Forever Engine spread to China, it became popular to create custom levels or full blown fan-games in the Chinese community. A Mario Forever fan called 无视我…… (spelled WuShiWo in English by his request, abbreviated as WSW) decided to make his own world. After 1 week in making, the first version of WSW World came out with only 1 world (5 basic levels and 2 hidden levels).

Not long after that, Syzxchulun released the engine of his World 10. So WSW moved the game to the new engine, and made 6 different levels with a Super Mario World styled map and Star Coins. It's the first version of the fan-game that can save.

Tired of making the mini-map and Star Coins, WSW removed these features. Then he made the new level 1-7, which has red Koopa Troopas with ghosts and 4 check-points.[1]

And on New Year's Eve of 2013, WSW released version 1.2 of WSW World with 3 worlds (however for some reason players can't enter World 3),[2] and 1-4, 1-6, 1-7, 2-4 are hidden levels. At the same day, Lyh released Rainbow Engine, which makes making levels convenient and easy. So WSW remade the game with this engine, which is what's being used so far.

Development

WSW World is developed exclusively by WSW. Themes, designs, item placements, etc., were all chosen solely by its author. Some graphics come from KFCMario and MarioX7's Mario Forever Engine Everybody.
