The Otherworld Levels are extra levels in Mario Forever: Community Edition that can be found while playing Expert Mode, created by Meteo Dream. There are 8 Otherworld levels in total. They all have different themes, are disconnected from each other and have to be played individually. If a level is entered via a passage from the Expert Mode, the player can get an extra Game Over Continue and continue the Expert Mode (except for Level 8), skipping the level they've found the passage in. The levels have a varied difficulty and aren't too serious, sometimes including out of place jokes and references.
Unlocking Criteria
All levels, except for Otherworld Level 2, are located in specific Expert Mode levels in pipes with a gradient on their tip. For Level 2, there is a sign nearby hinting on the passage's existence. Attempting to enter such pipes prompts the player with a message, where they can either reject entering the level, or accept it, with the latter option causing a unique text to appear on screen, and making the player able to get an extra Game Over Continue. Even if the prompt is rejected, the game will still unlock a passage to the respective level in the save game room, in a pipe located right before the Expert Mode save pipes (if the Cheat Commands tweak is disabled). Level 2 is the only entrance where such prompt does not appear and the player is forced to play the Otherworld level.
Achievements
There are 3 achievements in Mario Forever: Community Edition that are related to the Otherworld levels. They can be seen in The Community Edition Zone on page 2.

Trivia
- If the player has lost some lives while playing an Otherworld level, the initial life count is returned when the player completes the level, which is accompanied by an Extra Life sound effect. Lost Game Over Continues are not returned, though.
- This does not matter if the level is entered via the save room, since completing Otherworld levels that way brings the player back to the save room, which always resets the life count.
